TheStar - MALACCA: An animal activist investigating why scores of domestic cats had been reported missing lately found an intriguing link of a love potion and used underwear to the felines' disappearance.
The Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) had earlier received reports that many cats in Malacca, including pedigrees, had gone missing from their owners' homes since September.
Over several days, bits and pieces of clues led Low to a house in the suburbs where he found an Indonesian woman living with a dozen cats.“Only then did I learn that cats' fur and saliva are used in a ritual to make a love potion,” he said in an interview.
He said the woman claimed she was only sheltering the cats and had not abducted them. The woman, however, later confessed that she soaked cats' saliva and fur into used undergarments to make the potion"..
